WhiskyFindr FAQ

Question 1

How is pricing data sourced?

Accepted Answer

WhiskyFindr aggregates pricing data from multiple retailers, secondary marketplaces, and auction platforms to provide comprehensive price comparisons. Our data is collected from publicly available sources and updated regularly to ensure accuracy. We monitor retail stores, online marketplaces, and auction results to give you the most current market information available.

Question 2

How often are prices updated?

Accepted Answer

Prices are updated on a regular schedule, with most data refreshed daily. Secondary market prices and auction results are updated as new listings and sales occur. Retail prices are monitored continuously to capture price changes and special offers. This ensures you have access to the most current pricing information when making purchasing decisions.

Question 3

What markets are covered?

Accepted Answer

WhiskyFindr covers multiple markets including major retail stores, online retailers, secondary marketplaces, and auction platforms. We track prices across different regions and market segments to provide comprehensive coverage. Our database includes both retail pricing and secondary market valuations, giving you a complete picture of the whisky market.

Question 4

What types of bottles can I track?

Accepted Answer

You can track a wide variety of whisky bottles including single malts, bourbons, blended whiskies, and rare or limited edition releases. Our database includes bottles from major distilleries as well as independent bottlings. Whether you're interested in everyday drinking whiskies or collectible investment-grade bottles, WhiskyFindr helps you monitor prices and track value changes over time.

Question 5

How do price alerts work?

Accepted Answer

Price alerts notify you when a bottle you're tracking drops in price or reaches a target price you've set. You can set alerts for specific bottles and choose to be notified via email or through the platform. Alerts help you catch deals early and avoid missing opportunities when prices change. You can customize alert preferences to match your collecting or purchasing goals.

Question 6

Is the data reliable?

Accepted Answer

Yes, WhiskyFindr is committed to providing accurate and reliable pricing data. We aggregate information from multiple trusted sources and use automated systems to verify and cross-reference prices. While we strive for accuracy, prices can vary by location and market conditions. We recommend using our data as a reference point alongside your own research when making purchasing or investment decisions.

Question 7

Where Can I Check What My Bourbon Is Worth?

Accepted Answer

To find out what your bourbon is worth, you start with a website that actually tracks prices across the market. Not just one snapshot, but pricing over time, so you can see how things are moving. That's what WhiskyFindr does. It follows bourbon cost across retail and secondary markets, looks at averages, history, and trends, and shows you what a bottle is worth right now. Not in theory. In practice. Learn more at https://www.whiskyfindr.com/blog/where-can-i-check-what-my-bourbon-is-worth

Question 8

What's the Easiest Way to Compare Bourbon Prices?

Accepted Answer

Join us and get access to live pricing from stores all over the USA. Same bottle, different stores - you can see them all in one place instead of visiting sites one by one. Quickly figure out who's competitive and who's trying to rip you off. Makes it way easier to compare bourbon prices before buying.

Question 9

Is My Whiskey Collection Gaining or Losing Value?

Accepted Answer

When you sign up, you see what bottles actually sell for between collectors, not just store prices. Forget guessing from forum chats or one-off listings. Track bourbon resale prices and watch real market activity. You'll spot if demand's heating up or about to tank before it becomes obvious.

Question 10

What does WhiskyFindr alert on for bourbon hunting?

Accepted Answer

WhiskyFindr monitors bourbon-relevant changes like retail inventory signals and distillery updates, then fires Discord alerts so you can act before bottles sell out.

Question 11

Is the Discord community free to join?

Accepted Answer

The server itself is free to join — come talk bottles, no card needed. The real-time stock and price-drop alert channels are the Supporter perk ($19/month): our bot grants the Member role once you subscribe and link your Discord account, and pings start on the next match.

Question 12

Which distilleries and stores are monitored?

Accepted Answer

We monitor multiple bourbon distilleries including Buffalo Trace, Maker's Mark, Woodford Reserve, Wild Turkey, Four Roses, Heaven Hill, and more. We also track selected retail inventory signals and distillery updates. Coverage continues to expand over time.

Question 13

How do alerts help me act faster on rare bourbon?

Accepted Answer

Alerts arrive in Discord in real time with status changes, timing, and direct links so you can go from ping to action without having to manually check a dozen websites all day.
